We recently completed another complete web site redesign project. This time, for Hidden Hills Country Club Estates.
This project included an overhaul of a somewhat outdated site by completely stripping down the old sites content and starting from scratch.
The goals for this site were to provide a more aesthetic look and feel suitable to the casual tranquility of the Hidden Hills Estates themselves. I had the pleasure of driving around the community and strolling throughout the golf course taking photos for the site and it made for a very pleasant afternoon.
Additionally, we wanted to take some of the information formerly provided as PDFs and make them easily accessible and viewable directly from the site, rather than requiring the visitor to download each item separately.
Overall, the site redesign included:
- complete restructure and redesign of site foundation
- take photos for site graphics
- devise navigation for user friendly access to current and past news and information
- organize frequently requested forms and documents into one area of the site
- provide restricted access to resident information
- work with client to determine self-managed vs. provider managed site content updating
We are also in the process of examining options for bulletin-board or ‘blog’ solutions for resident news and updates so there are some more developments on the horizon. I’ll be posting some of the information I find as I explore the options available so if anyone has been thinking about a blog or bulletin board, stay tuned.
I would like to take a moment to thank the outgoing Board of Director President, Gene Jones, of ERA Dan Jones & Associates and current BOD President Shawn Griffith for the opportunity and for the business. It is sincerely appreciated.
